Throughout our nearly 150 year history , Bryant has been building the knowledge and character of our students to help them achieve success. We are a student-centered university , focused on providing rigorous academic programs that integrate business and liberal arts to develop the skills and critical thinking that are essential to every profession.

Founded in 1863

  • Located on 428 acres in Smithfield, RI, 12 miles from Providence
  • The Honorable Ronald K. Machtley has served as Bryant's president since June 1996
  • 3,370 full-time and part-time undergraduate students from 27 states (plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Palau) and 54 countries
  • 87% of undergraduates reside on campus
  • 244 full-time and part-time graduate students in three master's programs
  • Bryant has over 40,000 active alumni

The College of Arts and Sciences' array of academic programs combines a deep understanding of theory with practical skills and marketable experience so students can make a meaningful impact immediately upon graduation.

The College of Business offers business specialties with the depth and breadth of a large business school paired with the individual attention found on small college campuses. Our array of business programs focus on developing key skills such as working in and leading groups, communicating effectively, solving problems through innovative means and increasing students' proficiency with technology.

The Graduate School of Business confers advanced degrees in business administration, taxation, and accounting, including a one-year MBA program designed for recent college graduates. Additionally, the Graduate School offers new masters programs in Education, Communication and Environmental Science.

Archway Investment Fund:

Top Finance students participate in managing the Archway Investment Fund which allows students to use their classroom knowledge to research and buy stocks with money given by the Bryant University Board of Trustees

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE):

Bryant’s chapter of SIFE has won awards at regional competitions and advanced to the national competitions.

Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization:

Awarded Best Student Chapter in the country for the fourth time in the last five years.

B-School Beanpot Case Competition:

Bryant team won second place in its inaugural appearance

The Corporation for National and Community Service:

Named Bryant to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction

Honors Program:

Bryant University Honors Program is a community of talented students and dedicated faculty committed to pursuing an enriched educational experience. Honors students must successfully complete a minimum of 24 credits of honors courses including an Honors Senior Capstone Project, and maintain a GPA of 3.4.
