Director Judith Clare has led the Center for 17 years. Previously, she was an assistant director at Bryant and a career counselor at Stonehill College. In addition, she taught business communications and public speaking at Providence College and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Judy holds a Bachelor of Science from Bryant University and a Master of Education and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Rhode Island College. She is a graduate of the National Association of Colleges and Employers' Management Leadership Institute and of Leadership Rhode Island.
Judy has authored many articles, published a textbook on business communications, and presented at many regional and national conferences.
Barbara Gregory, Associate Director/Academic Internship Coordinator, joined the Center in 1994 after serving students in the career development offices at Providence College and Brown University. She is responsible for providing a vibrant academic internship program and counseling students seeking internships.
Barbara earned a Master of Education and Counseling at SUNY New Paltz and a Bachelor of Education with a minor in sociology at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY.
Jennifer Edwards, Senior Assistant Director/Manager of Career Education, has over 23 years' experience in career services. Before coming to Bryant in 2000, she was director of career services at Misericordia University and assistant director at Bucknell University. She has worked in nonprofit management, retail management, and for the U.S. Department of Education on a pilot program for learning disabled college students. She has a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Scranton and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Saint Bonaventure University.
Jennifer counsels students, plans and presents a variety of programs and workshops, and teaches a career planning course. She also is involved in committee work for the University's Student Affairs Division and the Human Resources Office.
Amy Weinstein, Assistant Director/Technology Manager, has been assisting liberal arts and business majors with career advising for over 15 years. Amy has worked in career services offices at the University of Rhode Island and the University of San Francisco. She has also worked as a university relations recruiter for AMD Corporation, a high-tech firm located in Silicon Valley.
Amy has a Master of Science in Career Counseling from San Francisco State University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. Amy works primarily with liberal arts majors at Bryant and enjoys helping students realize that “you can choose almost any career path” with a liberal arts degree. She plans and delivers a variety of programs and workshops.
As Manager of Employer Outreach and Development, Pat Miernicki promotes Bryant University and its students to prospective employers, developing new opportunities for internships and full-time positions that meet students' career interests.
Pat holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Public Administration with a minor in history and women’s studies from Long Island University. She has 15 years of experience as a development officer at Bryant and, previously, at Providence College.
Lauren Giardino has recently joined the staff as Manager of Recruiting and Employer Relations. Lauren is responsible for the implementation of the Corporate Recruiting Program and works closely with employers. She also offers workshops and provides counseling to seniors.
Lauren comes to Bryant from State Street Bank in Boston where she worked in Human Resources as a University Relations Consultant in Talent Acquisition.
She is a graduate of Providence College and is enrolled in a Career Counseling Facilitator Certification Program offered by the National Career Development Program. She will receive her certification in November.
Denise Gormley, Internship Assistant, joined the Center in 1995 and has been assisting students and employers in providing quality internships. Denise coordinates all aspects of experiential learning, assisting employers, student and faculty in the U.S. and abroad.
Previously, she was in the cable television industry in customer service. She holds an Associate's Degree in liberal arts from Community College of Rhode Island.
Yvonne Combies, Office Coordinator, joined the Center in July 2003 after serving as assistant to the head of Upper School at Moses Brown School in Providence, RI.
Yvonne manages the day-to-day operations of the Center and assists the director and two assistant directors with marketing for various workshops, programs and career fairs. She also supervises work-study students. She attended Community College of Rhode Island.
Nancy Friel joined the Center as Recruiting Assistant in 2000. Her day-to-day responsibilities include working with the manager of recruiting. She also oversees the logistics of the Recruiting Program. Nancy interacts daily with seniors and employers pertaining to recruiting.
Before coming to Bryant, she worked in the accounting field in various capacities such as accounting supervisor, controller and cost accounting. She attended Community College of Rhode Island.
